In the case of scaling, these shapes, which have an exact size and length specification, automatically adapt to the new overall dimensions. The reason for this is that vector images are not composed of individual pixels but of different shapes that are represented using vectors.

The traditionally used pixel art and raster graphics, as well as the less frequently used vector graphics, can be clearly distinguished from one another.
